Sara Wynes is in her 10th year of teaching in Cherry Creek Schools. After opening the music program and teaching for six great years at Liberty Middle School, she is thrilled to be back for her fourth year at Cherry Creek High School and Campus Middle School! She will spend her mornings at the high school working with the Concert Band, Symphonic Band 1, and Symphonic Band 2. In the afternoon, she will join her husband, Johnny, to team teach in the 6th grade band program. After school, she can be found working with the high school marching band.

Ms. Wynes love to play the saxophone (her primary instrument) and piano (her secondary instrument, just for fun). She graduated in 2002 from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. During the summers of 2004-2006, she traveled to Oregon to work on her master's degree. She completed her master's degree in conducting from Southern Oregon University in 2006.

Sara and Johnny have been married for 8 years. They have a Yorkshire Terrior named Lucy- and she keeps their life interesting- to say the least! For fun, they love to visit the mountains, spend time with family, travel the world, do projects around the house and read!
